Upon completion of the event the participant should be able to:
• Discuss the anatomy and pathophysiology associated with superficial venous reflux disorders
• State the implications, applications, contraindications, risk factors, and clinical outcomes associated with common venous therapy techniques
• Explain the role of duplex/color eval. Of venous insufficiency in the treatment of venous reflux
• Describe routine protocols for duplex/color evaluation of venous insufficiency
• Increase knowledge to perform and/or interpret venous insufficiency duplex/color examinations
Target Audience
Physicians, sonographers and other medical professionals involved in ultrasound evaluation of venous insufficiency and treatment of disease. Physician participants may include (but are not limited to) vascular/general surgeons and radiologists.
