1. Select appropriate patients for Intima-Media Thickness measurements
2. Measure the Intima-Media Thickness in individual patients accurately and reproducibly
3. Apply the Intima-Media Thickness measurement to planning appropriate management of cardiovascular risk factors
4. Increase knowledge to begin integrating the skills learned into clinical practice
Target Audience
Sonographers and other medical professionals learning how to perform Intima-Media Thickness measurements. Physicians at an entry level of performing/interpreting examinations. Physician participants may include (but are not limited to) those involved with internal medicine, cardiology, radiology, and general/vascular surgery.
