• Describe the different techniques required for successful Doppler evaluation for renal artery stenosis using the direct technique.
• Describe the different techniques required for successful Doppler evaluation for renal artery stenosis using the indirect technique.
• List the advantages and disadvantages of both the direct and indirect technique for evaluation of renal artery stenosis
• Discuss common anomalies of the renal vascular system.
Target Audience
The target audiences for this activity are physicians, sonographers, and medical professionals at a beginning-level of performing and/or interpreting renal arterial duplex/color examinations. Physician participants may include (but are not limited to) radiologists, internal medicine, cardiologists, general/vascular surgeons, and emergency medicine practicioners.
