1. Identify the normal ultrasound appearance of the scrotal contents
2. Describe routine screening protocols for ultrasound of the scrotal contents
3. Discuss the common indications for ultrasound of the testes and scrotal structures
4. Recognize and describe the ultrasound appearance of common pathology of the scrotal contents
5. Describe the color characteristics of scrotal varicoceles
6. Discuss documentation of the ultrasound procedure
7. Discuss a basic protocol scrotal ultrasound examination
Target Audience
Physicians, sonographers, and other medical professionals who are involved with performing or interpreting a scrotal diagnostic ultrasound examination. Physician participants may include (but are not limited to) those whose specialty include Urology, Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, and Internal Medicine.
